Welcome to #realtalk! Launching during a stressful time on the planet, where many are physical distancing because of Covid-19, we are honoured to bring you this podcast. We acknowledge that many people are struggling with mental, emotional, or physical health at this time.
In this first episode, our host Cherry Rose explains the journey that we are about to embark on together. This podcast has been two years in the making, starting as a mental health movement. Formerly known as For Founders by Founders, she spent two years traveling across North America to collect over 70 mental health stories. These stories are from tech founders, investors, and executive directors in over 10 cities. With this podcast, it is the first time these audios are being released.
Stemming from a series of tragic events in 2017, Cherry Rose felt called to start this platform after the loss of her only sibling, another tech founder. She explains that our time for #realtalk is now. People are going through massive change, such as losing businesses, relationships, and even loved ones. At #realtalk, we believe that your leadership grows at the speed of tough conversations.
#realtalk is what Cherry Rose wished she had back in 2017, when she was going through her trauma and grief. This podcast, this place, is an invitation for you to join us in the conversation.
